  | Blue River Horse CenterThe purpose of BRHC is to serve our community by offering experiential programs with rescued horses building self-leadership skills in children and adults. Our vision is to transform lives through well-structured and safe human and equine interactions. BRHC is primarily an educational organization partnering people with horses for the betterment of mankind and horses. Our signature program - Leadership Awareness with Horses - promotes self-awareness and constructive decision-making.   | Breckenridge Film FestThe Breck Film Fest celebrates its 39th year this September 19-22, 2019! From the festival that brought the world Shawshank Redemption, L.A. Confidential, and Kung Fu Panda, it’s no wonder USA Today lists the BFF in the Top 20 American Film Festivals. This year attendees are invited to explore Breckenridge through the eyes of film. With four screening locations across town, numerous parties, kids programs, fall colors, local vendors and casual 14ers right outside your door, the Breck Film Fest is a great experience everyone can enjoy.   | Breckenridge MusicThe Breckenridge Music Festival’s educational outreach program, Music In the Schools, offers students in Summit, Lake and Park counties classical and traditional performing arts experiences to expand and enrich the arts curriculum in the schools. Music In the Schools works to support arts education as a critical component of educational excellence for children pre-K through 12. Musical participation has been proven to nourish the creative process in learning and add to many creative problem-solving skills that transfer into all areas of learning and living.   | The Cycle EffectThe Cycle Effect’s mission is to enhance the lives of young women through mountain biking and to empower them through mentoring and education. In November of 2010, Donelson Coaching set out to create an opportunity for local young women with the idea that committed and driven kids should be able to participate in a sport we are so passionate about, no matter what their background. They rode bikes while building self-esteem, improving their fitness, and learning about nutritional opportunities. They received top of the line mountain bikes and equipment, were trained by professional coaches, and competed in race events throughout Eagle County and beyond.   | Domus PacisDomus Pacis is Latin for House of Peace Domus Pacis Family Respite encourages cancer patients, their families and friends to escape to the beauty of the mountains and experience the peace that comes from creating joyful memories for the people they most cherish. The Domus Pacis Family Respite, a Breckenridge, Colorado based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has the potential to make a difference in the lives of numerous families every year. Our goal is to conquer the logistical hurdles necessary to bring a family, including the member experiencing a traumatic illness, together. The Domus Pacis Family Respite program relies on the use of donated resort homes, as well as the giving nature of volunteers.   | Education Foundation of the SummitThe Education Foundation of the Summit is a nonprofit organization with an all-volunteer group of parents and community members dedicated to supporting the public school students and teachers in Summit County. Founded in 2010, the foundation has expanded its support of public school teachers and students in Summit to include Eileen Finkel Innovative Teaching Awards each year, partnership and grants to school PTAs, scholarships to high school seniors, and collaboration with schools and community groups to increase opportunities for students.   | Far View Horse RescueFar View Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation is a not-for-profit, 100% volunteer-run organization dedicated to providing shelter, care, rehabilitation, and adoption services for abused, neglected, abandoned, and unwanted equine animals. FVHRR is committed to reducing the number of unwanted horses, including American Mustangs, by providing community resources through equine education, information, and referral services.   | Father Dyer Food PantryThe goal of the Father Dyer Food Pantry is to provide a resource for the homeless, the unemployed, the disabled, the low-income employed, itinerant workers, individuals and families without regard to race, religion or financial status. The objective is to reduce the stress of daily living for these individuals and families. It has enabled many minimally employed to survive the frequent fluctuations of their paychecks. In 2019, the amount of food distributed through the Food Pantry weighed 43,952 lbs. and the average number of people served was 433 per month. The program is run entirely by volunteers.   | The Family & Intercultural Resource Center (FIRC)The Family & Intercultural Resource Center (FIRC), originally named the Summit County Family Resource Center (FRC), started serving Summit County, Colorado, in 1993 out of community necessity for more localized assistance. At the time, childcare and parent effectiveness were identified as major challenges facing Colorado residents. As a result, the State provided partial funding for “Family Centers” with missions to address these and related issues; the funds provided helped kick-start the FRC. In 1995, the FRC opened the Summit Thrift & Treasure store, the only nonprofit thrift store in the county. The thrift store opened in order to provide affordable clothing to Summit County residents and strengthen FRC’s financial stability.   | Friends of the Dillon Ranger DistrictThe stunning beauty of the high-mountain environment, along with an amazing variety of hiking and other outdoor recreational opportunities, is the reason why many locals call Summit County home. Our diverse outdoor activities also draw in about 4.5 million visitors from throughout Colorado, the United States and around the globe. Friends of the Dillon Ranger District leverages the power of volunteers to make sure the National Forest lands enjoyed by millions of people each year are not negatively impacted by their popularity.   | High Country Conservation CenterOur mission is to promote practical solutions for waste reduction and resource conservation in our mountain community. In 2006, the Summit County Government institutionalized the nonprofit’s recycling operations into a stable government department. To formalize this change, SRP changed its name to the High Country Conservation Center (HC3) in January 2006. After careful thought, the organization’s board and staff realized that even with this significant shift in recycling operations, our work is not done and our mission is not complete. In fact, this change gave us the perfect opportunity to do more work on waste reduction education and more formally address other resource conservation issues. Our current focus areas include waste reduction, energy efficiency and clean energy, and sustainable food production.  | Lake Dillon Theatre CompanyThe Lake Dillon Theatre Company strives for high quality entertainment and educational opportunities for their guests and residents, as well as giving back to the community in a multitude of ways. Through donations of time, entertainment packages, and merchandise, the theatre also provides tuition scholarships to at least one graduating senior planning to major in the performing arts.   | League for Animals and People of Summit County (LAPS)Proudly serving Summit County, Colorado since 1990, the League for Animals and People of the Summit (L.A.P.S.) is a registered 501 C-3 non-profit #84-1157625. LAPS raises funds to support a variety of assistance programs for companion animals of low income families living or working in Summit County, Colorado. While not directly associated with the Summit County Animal Shelter, L.A.P.S. does support their spay/neuter program with a generous grant from The Summit Foundation.   | Mountain Top Explorium - Children's MuseumThe Mountain Top Children’s Museum, Inc. is an educational institution that promotes informal learning through interactive exhibits and programs, imaginative play and engagement in active experiences for children ages 10 and under and their families and caregivers.   | The National Repertory OrchestraOur Mission is to Change Lives Through Music! The National Repertory Orchestra is a preeminent intensive fellowship that equips young musicians for orchestral music careers while providing the highest-level of musical experience for all stakeholders. We pride ourselves on Changing Lives Through Music! Founded in 1960 as the Blue Jeans Symphony in Estes Park, CO, the orchestra moved to Evergreen, CO in 1966 and changed its name to the Colorado Philharmonic. In 1986, the orchestra relocated to Keystone Resort and changed its name to the National Repertory Orchestra in an effort to better recognize the national/international make-up of its musicians.
